The
Cybermissions Seminar aims to equip Internet evangelists and cybermissionaries
to work effectively and strategically in using the Internet to fulfill
the Great Commission.
This is
NOT a "mechanics" course on how to build a web page - it is
a strategy course that teaches you how to share the gospel in cyberspace.
Ways you
could use this course include:
- Helping
a local church to have a global outreach via the Internet.
- Safely
exposing
young people to evangelism and missions by having them chat to people
of other religions online.
- Designing
a website to reach a particular unreached people group.
- Engaging
the post-modern generation.
- Utilizing
untapped spiritual gifts in cyber-ministry (not everyone can be upfront
on Sunday).
- Run an
online bible college or information site.
- Have
a secular interest site (such as fishing) with links to Christian testimonies.
- Learn
how to coordinate specialist ministry groups via online discussion groups.
The potential
of Cybermissions is tremendous! See this
article for an overview of Cybermissions.
This seminar
could be a turning point for your church and help it to reach the world.
Participants
who complete the course are entitled to a certificate from the Asian Internet
Bible Institute. |
Twelve
sessions of one hour each - generally run over a weekend. This
seminar requires the venue to have a broadband Internet connection and
a LCD data projector as much of it involves exploring web sites and links
online.
Cost
of $55 per head includes all materials including the textbook and data
CD. Travel and accommodation costs for John Edmiston not included.
Churches
may charge up to $30 per head extra to cover their expenses in providing
